For NGOs most images are documentary showing the work of the organisation, or staged photographs for IEC materials and the like.
For the private sector, we make photographs for annual reports including executive portraits, and photographs for advertising. Here we can realize your concept, or provide creative ideas from our side.

Arjen van de Merwe has published in Elle USA, Irish Times, Aftonbladet. Dutch publications include NRC, Volkskrant, Vrij Nederland, Groene Amsterdammer, Telegraaf, Parool, Live XS, Fret, Slagwerkkrant, Ravage, Highlife. Malawian publications include the Nation, The Daily Times, Weekly News, Arts Magazine, Traveller Magazine, City Side Magazine. He has supplied images to major press agencies including AP (Associated Press) and ANP (Algemeen Nederlands Persbureau). He has carried out assignments in Asia and Africa for ao EU, BBC, Unicef, UNFPA, Interact Worldwide, DSW, WPF, Marie Stopes International.
He won the 2007 World Aids Day Photo Contest of Blantyre Newspapers and the American Embassy in Malawi.
He
is affiliated with Still Pictures photo agency in London.
He is a member of the Photographers Association of Malawi (PHOTAMA). From 2007 to 2010 he was vice-secretary.
From 2007 to 2012 he was photojournalism lecturer at Malawi Institute of Journalism (MIJ) (course outline.pdf)
From 2013 he is photojournalism lecturer at the University of Malawi, the Polytechnic.
He initiated the Photojournalism Education Project funded by Tilitonse in 2013
He has trained the photojournalists of BNL/ (syllabus)
